Title of Study: IRS Authorizations Prototype - Usability Testing
Purpose or Objective: The purpose of this study is to test the suitability of the online Power of Attorney (2848) and Tax Information Authorization forms (8821). This study will help inform information architecture, provide insight into the user’s experience, and identify areas for improvement. The results of this study will show that the online forms meet their intended purpose of authorizing an individual to represent a taxpayer before the IRS and authorizing individuals or other entities to receive a taxpayer’s confidential information.
