The FAA regulations requires design approval holders to establish limits of validity (LOV) of the engineering data that supports the maintenance program. New airplanes must establish an LOV and demonstrate that the airplane will be free from WFD up to the LOV and ffected airplanes must incorporate the LOV into the maintenance program for that airplane.
