Request for Approval under the “Generic Clearance for the Collection of Routine Customer Feedback” (OMB Control Number: 3145-0215)

TITLE OF INFORMATION COLLECTION:

USAP.gov Customer Feedback Survey

PURPOSE:

The USAP.gov website is an official U.S. government site representing the United States Antarctic Program (USAP), under the management of the NSF Office of Polar Programs (OPP). USAP.gov was last redesigned in 2009. In keeping with #2 of the White House policy Memorandum M-17-06, NSF plans to survey the users of the website to gauge their satisfaction with the current pages and determine the type of information and features they find most useful. Results of this survey will be used to make future improvements to the USAP.gov website. The survey will be conducted through a SurveyMonkey form and will be distributed via a link on the USAP.gov website and to prospective respondents via email.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONDENTS:

The anticipated respondents are science and math teachers, NSF staff, USAP support contract staff, people who work in the news/media, and the general public.

Leidos, the support contractor to USAP, has lists of PIs that participate each season in Antarctica. We may draw from this list and email some PIs about the survey.

TITLE OF INFORMATION COLLECTION: Provide the name of the collection that is the subject of the request. (e.g. Comment card for soliciting feedback on xxxx)

PURPOSE: Provide a brief description of the purpose of this collection and how it will be used. If this is part of a larger study or effort, please include this in your explanation.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONDENTS: Provide a brief description of the targeted group or groups for this collection of information. These groups must have experience with the program.

TYPE OF COLLECTION: Check one box. If you are requesting approval of other instruments under the generic, you must complete a form for each instrument.
