Big Data or Not: Determining the Use of Big Data

SME Interview Protocol (For Industry and Government Respondents)

Introductions

[Introduce individuals on call]

NORC at the University of Chicago is working with the Office of The Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to produce a high level white paper that discusses the issues that should be considered when integrating BD into HHS research.

To achieve this goal NORC is conducting interviews with subject matter experts in “big” data to gain a better understanding of how “big” data is being implemented throughout different fields, thus our team has identified you as an expert in “big” data.

We expect this interview to be approximately 60 minutes and will be taking notes during this call in order to use this information to inform the project’s final report. After the interview, NORC will prepare the interview materials with your responses and send them to you for your review.
