Title: IES Seeking Researchers Working with Adults with Low Basic Skills

Introduction: The Institute of Education Sciences (IES) is the non-partisan research arm of the U.S. Department of Education. We fund scientific research to improve student outcomes for adult learners (such as those in postsecondary or adult education programs) and have datasets relevant to this population.

We want to connect with researchers focused on improving education outcomes for adults with low basic skills and to ensure that such researchers are aware of opportunities that may be useful to them (e.g., grant funding, training, datasets). To help us connect with the field, we hope that you will fill in this brief form and tell us what you would like to know.

This form is completely voluntary. IES will use this data internally to help us share information, which is likely to consist of no more than one or two emails total. We will not place you on a recurring mailing list, nor will we share your data more broadly. We will not be using the data for reporting purposes.

Estimated time to complete our form: 2 – 5 mins

Public Burden Statement: According to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, no persons are required to respond to a collection of information unless such collection displays a valid OMB control number.
