Applicants to an FY 2020 program under the National Center for Education Research

Subject Line: IES Feedback Survey – FY 2020 NCER RFAs

Dear Colleague,

Thank you for recently submitting an application to the FY 2020 Education Research Grants Program (84.305A) and/or Research Grants Focused on Systematic Replication (84.305R) run by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES). IES revised the FY 2020 Request for Applications (RFA) for the Education Research Grants Program (84.305A) to make it clearer, shorter, less restrictive, and accessible to a wider range of potential applicants. As part of the revision, IES also released a new RFA for the Research Grants Focused on Systematic Replication (84.305R). Both RFAs can be found at https://ies.ed.gov/funding/20rfas.asp.

We would appreciate your voluntary feedback on the success of the revisions to the RFA and whether further changes are necessary. IES will use the feedback from the survey to improve the clarity of the information provided to applicants in future RFA documents. This survey is completely anonymous and will not affect the review of your proposal in any way.

You can access the survey at: https://surveys.ies.ed.gov/?305_FY2020 Please enter 2020RFA for the password. Please note that the survey link will be active for 3 weeks from today’s date.

Thank you for your feedback – your views are important to helping IES improve its grants programs. Sincerely,

Elizabeth Albro, Commissioner
