This research will explore and develop causal evidence relating to the reasons that millennial women start businesses, as well as reasons why they may elect to defer an entrepreneurial decision. Identification of these factors, including a deep dive into the role of student debt in business formation and operation among young people, will inform policies designed to spur entrepreneurship among the current generation of young people, millennials.
