The goal of the study is to identify and prioritize barriers to the commercial development and adoption of underground coal mining safety and health protection technologies in the U.S. The data collected will provide NIOSH with a more complete perspective of the barriers from the point of view of the mine operators and technology developers in order to improve the efficacy of the intramural and extramural research that NIOSH administers under the MINER AACT
