Quarterly Mine Employment and Coal Production Report

Description:

Mine operators are required to report employment and
production information to MSHA using Form 7000-2 for each
quarter of operation at the mine. The 30CFR Part 50.30 states
that the form 7000-2 must be submitted within 15 days after
the close of each calendar quarter. Those forms filed after the 15
day period will be considered late.

Filing Options:

The filing period for quarterly filings is open for the current year,
plus previous year. Quarterly reports are due within 15 days
after the end of each calendar quarter as mandated by Part
50.30. To assist in easing the burden to operators and
contractors, Quarterly Mine Employment and Coal Production
Report can now be filed online 365 days a year. Or it can be
printed, filled in and sent to MSHA according to the instructions
provided below.

estimated to average 30 minutes per response (15 minutes for
electronic responses), including the time for reviewing
instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and
maintaining the data needed, and completing and reviewing the
collection of information. This is a mandatory collection of
information as required by 30 CFR 50.30. The report is used to
establish employment and injury data files used to measure the
