Script 1 Title: WASH YOUR HANDS FIRST/ LÁVATE LAS MANOS PRIMERO

Script 1 addresses the prevalent use of cell phones and reminds workers to wash their hands before using them.

ENGLISH SCRIPT 1 A cellphone rings WORKER 1: My wife is calling me WORKER 2: (dramatic tone): Juan, do not answer that phone! (dramatic music changes into ambient field sound) WORKER 1: Huh? What are you talking about, Carlos? WORKER 2: This morning we have been working in places where pesticides are used. Remember you should never grab your cell phone before washing… WORKER 1: ... my hands. It is true. Better to prevent ... (BOTH) than regret. A different cell phone rings WORKER 2: Now is my wife, it looks that they both decided to call us. Let's see who washes their hands first ... LAUGHTER OF BOTH ANNOUNCER: If you work in the field, do not forget that pesticide residues can stick to your hands even if you do not see them or smell them ... SPANISH SCRIPT 1 Se escucha el sonido de un teléfono celular TRABAJADOR 1: Mi esposa me está llamando  TRABAJADOR 2: (Tono dramático): ¡Juan, no contestes ese teléfono! (fx: cortinilla dramática y se disuelve a sonido ambiental de campo) TRABAJADOR 1: ¿Ehh? ¿De qué hablas Carlos? TRABAJADOR 2: Hemos trabajado esta mañana en lugares donde se usaron pesticidas. Acuérdate que nunca debes agarrar el celular sin antes lavarte... TRABAJADOR 1: ... las manos. Es verdad. Más vale prevenir... (AMBOS) que lamentar.   Se oye un timbre distinto de celular TRABAJADOR 2: Ahora es mi esposa, parece que se ponen de acuerdo. A ver quién se lava primero las manos... Script 2 Title: OBEY KEEP OUT SIGN/OBEDECE AL AVISO DE “NO ENTRE”

Script 2 reminds workers to keep out of an area where a “Do not enter” sign is posted and makes a play on words with “red light” which is a saying in Spanish that means “look out!”

ENGLISH SCRIPT 2 Sound of crop field. WORKER 1 (female): Oh, my friend, lunch was delicious! WORKER 2 (female): Yes, friend. They say a full stomach makes for a happy heart. Now let’s get back to work. WORKER 1: (slightly dramatic tone): Stop there, friend. Don’t take one more step! Red light! WORKER 2: (incredulous tone): What red light? What are you talking about? WORKER 1: Look at the KEEP OUT sign, they are applying pesticides and you have to wait until they stop and the sign is removed. Before that happens, it’s just not safe to go in. WORKER 2: (Interrupts): … Yes, the “NO ENTRE” sign… So, we have time for dessert. You can have some of my gelatin. Script 3 addresses the prevalent use of torn/frayed jeans and reminds workers to wear appropriate clothing to protect themselves from pesticide residue.

ENGLISH SCRIPT 3 Sound of an auto engine and horn. YOUNG MAN 1 - CARLOS: Juan, hurry up, we're late for work. YOUNG MAN 2 - JUAN: Thanks for the ride, Carlos ... ¿What is that? I did not know you liked frayed (torn) "jeans". CARLOS: Oooh Juan, those are the latest fashion trend ... and the more frayed the better! JUAN: Those could be the latest fashion trend, but we cannot wear frayed pants when we apply pesticides or work in areas where pesticides are used. CARLOS: You're right! I had forgotten.
