Caregivers play a vital role in the
health and wellbeing of Soldiers in the military. According to the
2014 RAND Hidden Heroes report, caregivers experience worse health
outcomes, greater relationship strain, and more workplace problems
compared to non-caregivers (RAND Hidden Heroes Report, 2014). In
order to better serve caregivers, it is critical to determine the
level of burden experience by providing caregiver support, identify
the health status of the caregiver population, and determine the
services used and/or needed to provide caregiver support.
