Abstract: The purpose of this standard and its information collection requirements is to provide protection for workers from the adverse effects associated with occupational exposure to vinyl chloride. Employers must monitor worker exposure, reduce worker exposure to permissible exposure limits, and provide medical examinations and other information to workers pertaining to vinyl chloride.

Short Statement: The Agency is requesting an adjustment increase in the burden hours from 535 to 604, a 69 hour increase. The increase is a result of updated information and analysis on the number of establishments and employees identified for this ICR. The currently approved ICR estimates a total of 24 establishments, and this proposed ICR estimates a total of 28 establishments. There is also an increase in the cost under Item 13 from $43,320 to $51,358, a total increase of $8,038. The cost increase results from an increase in the number of exposure monitoring samples and medical examinations.
