Federal Communications Commission
Explanation of Non-Substantive Changes to OMB Control Numbers: 3060-1200 and 3060-1256:
Purpose of this Submission: This submission is being made as a non-substantive change request to an existing information collection pursuant to 44 U.S.C. § 3507. This submission seeks to move the Letter of Credit requirement from OMB Control Number 3060-1200 to OMB Control Number 3060-1256.
Letter of Credit (LOC). Within 10 business days of announcement that a winning bidder is technically and financially qualified to receive rural broadband experiment funding, the winning bidder must provide an irrevocable stand-by original LOC that has been issued and signed by the issuing bank, along with an opinion letter from legal counsel.
Summary of Proposed Updates
Changes: Moving this requirement will allow the Commission to discontinue OMB Control Number 3060-1200, which will therefore result in a reduction in the Commission’s information collections.
There are no changes to the burden hours and there are no costs associated with this information collection.
