Under the existing NOx SIP Call regulations, affected states must include provisions in their SIPs requiring certain sources to monitor their NOx mass emissions during the May-September ozone season according to 40 CFR part 75. This proposal would amend the NOx SIP Call regulations to allow states to revise their SIPs to replace the current requirements for sources to monitor according to 40 CFR part 75 with alternate, potentially lower-cost monitoring requirements.
