Under the existing NOx SIP Call
regulations, affected states must include provisions in their SIPs
requiring certain sources to monitor their NOx mass emissions
during the May-September ozone season according to 40 CFR part 75.
This proposal would amend the NOx SIP Call regulations to allow
states to revise their SIPs to replace the current requirements for
sources to monitor according to 40 CFR part 75 with alternate,
potentially lower-cost monitoring requirements.
