Abstract: The purpose of this information collection is to collect applications for the NIST Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program. The application criteria and requirements are described in the Proposal Review Process and Evaluation Criteria section of the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). The information is collected from applicant students and is used by the Program Directors and technical evaluators to determine eligible students, select students for the program using the Evaluation Criteria, and place students in appropriate research projects that match their needs, interests, and academic preparation.
