In accordance with FAR 16.4, incentive
contracts are normally used when a firm fixed-price contract is not
appropriate and the required supplies or services can be acquired
at lower costs, and sometimes with improved delivery or technical
performance, by relating the amount of profit or fee payable under
the contract to the contractor's performance.
As a result of the adjustments,
the estimated total burden hours and the responses/hours have
decreased based on the updated adjustment number for number of
unique vendors in FPDS-NG for the number of contract awards
associated with this information collection.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding
the proposed collection of information, that the certification
covers:
(i) Why the information is being collected;
(ii) Use of information;
(iii) Burden estimate;
(iv) Nature of response (voluntary, required for a
benefit, or mandatory);
(v) Nature and extent of confidentiality; and
