Congratulations on passing your driving test and obtaining your license! We are looking for teen volunteers like you to participate in a research study to help improve the safety of young drivers. In the study, volunteers will have the opportunity to complete a 45-minute online new driver training program on their computer at home to measure its effectiveness in preparing teen drivers for the realities of driving.
We know your time is important, and as a small token of thanks for your participation, we have enclosed $2 for you. Once you complete the training program, we will send you another $5 in the mail. If you would like to receive the additional $5, please complete the training program within two weeks by going to this website and following the instructions:
[Website address]
You may also be contacted by us to complete a week-long driving diary to record your trips each day for 7 days, for which $10 will be mailed to you.
We may contact you again after six (6) months and ask you to complete another road safety program on your computer. Once you have done this, we will send you $10 in the mail.
