Abstract: The USGS proposes to collect general demographic information about public users that download products from the EROS Long Term Archive (LTA). The project uses the EarthExplorer (EE) Application to help address Congress, OMB and DOI management’s questions as to who uses the Landsat and other remote sensing data and what are the most common uses of these data which they have found to be invaluable for justifying and maintaining the free distribution of the USGS land remote sensing data.
