Abstract: Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate’s (S&T) seeks to collect information collection to provide needed feedback from the user experience on its technical integration of DHS-funded and industry technologies for first responders. By surveying the first responders who are using these technologies, DHS S&T is able to gain an understanding of whether these technologies have the expected technical abilities and mission impacts. These measures will help DHS S&T determine if the program is successful and identify areas for improvement. Police officers, firefighters and emergency medical services can use new technologies to be safer and more effective, which helps to maintain the safety of American lives and communities.
