This is a request for a substantive
change to the List Frame docket. NASS will be testing the June Area
Research Project's (JARP) usefulness as an alternative or
supplemental source of potential farm and ranch operators to add to
our list of active farm operations. The JARP uses web-scraping to
generate lists of potential farm operators. The NASS list frame is
the basis for all future surveys conducted by NASS. No data will be
summarized or published from this data collection. However, a
scientific report may be published from our findings.

The sample size of the Phase 1
JARP pilot study came in much less than originally estimated. So
the adding of the JARP Phase 2 and the reduction in the Phase 1 had
an overall decrease in respondent burden and number of
responses.
