Board’s regulations, to file a SAR to report known or suspected
violations of federal law or a suspicious transaction related to a
money laundering activity or a violation of the BSA. Institutions
file a SAR electronically through a secure network created and
maintained by the administrator of the BSA, the Department of the
Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).
