Firms performing under fixed-price
contracts provision for price redetermination must provide cost
data to the Government to support adjustments in the contract
price.
The total burden hours for both
the public and the Government has decreased due to the availability
of more in-depth data that better reflects when the contractor has
to provide information to the Government in response to FAR clause
52.216-5 and 52.216-6; which resulted in a significant reduction in
the number of respondents to the clauses.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding
the proposed collection of information, that the certification
covers:
(i) Why the information is being collected;
(ii) Use of information;
(iii) Burden estimate;
(iv) Nature of response (voluntary, required for a
benefit, or mandatory);
