Thank you for your comments and support of the new Survey of Irrigation Organizations.

NASS has been working very hard with ERS to develop a user friendly questionnaire that collects this very important information. The survey is targeted to begin data collection in February 2020. NASS will be contacting numerous industry representatives to ask them to help promote this survey and to relay the importance of everyone participating in it. Based on cognitive testing conducted by NASS, the questionnaire is estimated to take approximately one hour to complete.

The questionnaire, publicity materials, supporting statements, etc. are being submitted to OMB for review. Very soon the materials will be posted to the government website https://www.reginfo.gov/public/ for the public to review and comment on. The public will be given 30 days to review the materials at that time.
