CPSC staff will fill in the form
during the course of a pool and spa inspection to determine if the
swimming pool and spa drain cover meets the requirements of
ANSI/APSP 16 2017.
The program change addresses
redundancies with state and local inspections addressing the same
issues, an increased compliance rate over the years as VGBA
requirements have been adopted at state and local levels, Industry
awareness of the requirements becoming more prevalent, and staff
resources.
