pdfPerkins V Quality Indicators Workgroups Customer Satisfaction Survey
The U.S. Department of Education, Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE)
has launched a nationwide technical assistance initiative to build State capacity to implement a
set of three new quality indicators introduced in the Strengthening Career and Technical
Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V). To support the initiative, OCTAE is convening
three Quality Indicator Workgroups (QIWs) comprised of knowledgeable State and local career
and technical education (CTE) program directors and staff drawn from across the country.
After each QIW meeting, a brief online poll will be completed by attendees (QIW members and
drop-in participants). The polls will provide an opportunity for attendees to share perceptions of
progress made during the meeting and provide feedback on the content and facilitation. They
will be used to track QIW progress over time and to inform real-time adjustments to future
meeting agendas and/or workgroup goals.
A link to the relevant poll will be distributed in the chat window during the last five minutes of
each virtual meeting with the expectation that the poll is to be completed before participants exit
the meeting. QIW members and drop-in participants will complete the poll during the last five
minutes of the meeting. The polls will be administered via Alchemer (formerly named
SurveyGizmo) which is a user-friendly, secure, online survey platform. Individual item
responses will only be accessible to the evaluation team, not to OCTAE nor the facilitators. No
results will be visible or shared during the live meeting.
