Abstract: The Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation Single Room Occupancy (SRO) Program provides rental assistance to homeless individuals. Under this program HUD enters annual contributions contracts with public housing authorities in connection with the moderate rehabilitation of residential properties that when rehabilitation is complete will contain multiple single room units.
