Rule 15l-2 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 would require broker-dealers registered with the Commission to (1) exercise due diligence on retail investors before approving retail investor accounts to invest in leveraged/inverse investment vehicles, (2) adopt and implement policies and procedures reasonably designed to achieve compliance with the proposed rule’s provisions, and (3) to meet certain related recordkeeping requirements.
