The Commission seeks to modify this submission to reflect that the testing required under Section 76.601(b) applies only to cable systems that deliver analog signals, and the cable operator must only test analog channels (see FCC 17-120, adopted on September 22, 2019). We expect that this change will reduce the number of filers associated with this information collection.
As explained above, the program change to this collection is to apply the signal quality testing requirement (Section 76.601) to analog cable systems only (see FCC 17-120). The program changes which result in the following decreases to this collection: -505 to the number of respondents, -1,342 to the annual number of responses and -93,940 to the annual burden hours.
There are adjustments/increases to this collection which represent the current figures for this collection: 3,085 to the number of respondents, 6,270 to the annual number of responses and 158,445 to the annual burden hours
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
