This survey will obtain quarterly
sample data on transactions between U.S. and foreign persons in
Selected Services and Intellectual Property transactions. The data
are needed, among other purposes, to support U.S. trade policy
initiatives, including trade negotiations, and to compile the U.S.
international transactions and the national income and product
accounts.
This request is for an
extension with changes of a currently approved collection. The
estimated change in the burden hours is an increase of 20,400 hours
(from 124,400 to 144,800). The agency estimate of the average time
to complete the survey with data, and provide additional detail for
intellectual property transactions, has been increased from 19 to
21 hours. There has been no change in the estimated number of
respondents meeting the (unchanged) mandatory requirements for
filing on a quarterly basis.
