This survey will obtain quarterly sample data on transactions between U.S. and foreign persons in Selected Services and Intellectual Property transactions. The data are needed, among other purposes, to support U.S. trade policy initiatives, including trade negotiations, and to compile the U.S. international transactions and the national income and product accounts.
This request is for an extension with changes of a currently approved collection. The estimated change in the burden hours is an increase of 20,400 hours (from 124,400 to 144,800). The agency estimate of the average time to complete the survey with data, and provide additional detail for intellectual property transactions, has been increased from 19 to 21 hours. There has been no change in the estimated number of respondents meeting the (unchanged) mandatory requirements for filing on a quarterly basis.
