NNDSS is the nation’s public health surveillance system used to monitor the occurrence and spread of nationally notifiable conditions. NNDSS provides the official source of statistics in the United States for nationally notifiable conditions and CDC is the sole repository for these national, population-based data. This Revision includes requests for approval to: 1) receive case notification data for Blastomycosis, 2) receive case notification data for 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV), and 3) receive disease-specific data elements for Carbon Monoxide Poisoning, Congenital Syphilis, and Sexually Transmitted Disease (not congenital). The total burden hours decreased from 19,338 to 18,354 because there were less diseases and disease-specific data elements added in this revision as compared to the last revision. This change request is to add 3 COVID data elements to the one-time addition of data elements.
