The FAA uses this information collection to ensure the operators ETOPS program contains all the necessary elements of ETOPS and the aircraft used for ETOPS are operating to the ETOPS regulatory standards to minimize diversions, to preclude and protect diversions, and to ensure that all personnel are trained to minimize any adverse impacts of a diversion. This collection of information is voluntary for manufacturers and operators. Aircraft manufacturers and airline operators who choose to perform Extended Operations of Multi-Engine Aircraft are the respondents to this collection. This collection is a reporting requirement. The information is collected as needed depending on each individual requirement

Since respondents are not required to submit annually, this burden was calculated by dividing the total burden by 3 years.
