DOJ's FBI/CJIS Division is requesting PRA approval of a new collection authorized by a final rule that will soon publish in the Federal Register. The information collection will require biographic descriptive information of potential firearm recipients from criminal justice agencies for the purpose of verifying whether those potential firearm recipients are permitted under federal and state law to possess or receive a firearm.
