RE: OMB Control Number 2502-0615, Survey to Assess Operational and Capacity Status of
Housing Counseling Agencies Due to Disaster/National Emergency
Dear Ms. Young:
The Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Office of Housing
Counseling (OHC) seeks an emergency review of the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) requirements
for a revised “Survey to Assess Operational and Capacity Status of Housing Counseling
Agencies Due to Disaster/National Emergency”, OHC respectfully requests a 7-day PRA
emergency approval.
This emergency processing is necessary to quickly assess the impact of the current COVID19 National Emergency and potential disasters on the current operations of HUD-participating
housing counseling agencies. OHC is responsible for oversight of the operations of these agencies.
Disasters and National Emergencies make it critical that OHC receives information on the
impacts quickly to fulfill this responsibility. This survey will accurately assess the current
operating status and capacity of housing counseling agencies impacted by Disasters and
National Emergencies.
OHC is submitting a PRA package for revision to OMB Collection 2502-0615
“Survey to Assess Operational and Capacity Status of Housing Counseling Agencies Due to
Disaster/National Emergency” to the Office of Housing, Organizational Policy, Planning, and
Analysis Division for their action.
In compliance with the requirements of 5 CFR 1320.13, OHC respectfully requests a 7-day
Emergency PRA approval in order to quickly gather the information.
