B1. Respondent Universe and Sampling Methods

The Administration for Native Americans (ANA) proposes to send the survey (see Instrument 1: August 2020 ANA Grantee Survey) to all current ANA grantees (174).

B2. Procedures for Collection of Information

ANA will distribute and receive submissions of this information collection via Survey Monkey. As mentioned in Supporting Statement A2, we will announce the survey through the regular monthly correspondence, Strengthening Our Circle (see Appendix A: Survey Announcement Email), as part of the Top Updates.

B3. Methods to Maximize Response Rates and Deal with Nonresponse

Expected Response Rates

The expected response rate is 20 percent which is the average response rate of our surveys.

Dealing with Nonresponse

ANA will not follow up with non-respondents. This information collection is voluntary.

Maximizing Response Rates

ANA will deploy this information collection in Survey Monkey through ANA’s regularly scheduled monthly correspondence. Survey Monkey has been very effective at collecting responses.

B4. Tests of Procedures or Methods to be Undertaken

ANA has deployed numerous information collections through electronic means for several years. Survey Monkey has been very effective at collecting responses. ANA has used Survey Monkey for over 5 years.

B5. Individual(s) Consulted on Statistical Aspects and Individuals Collecting and/or Analyzing Data

As mentioned in Supporting Statement A8, ANA has its own in-house evaluators who developed the survey and will analyze the results internally. ANA has significant experience developing surveys and collecting and analyzing data.
