For this extension, the respondents’ annual burden was calculated using the actual number of months (1-12) for which the respondents submitted data. An additional 300 hours were added to the burden to cover state UCR Program and local LEA outreach. Burden hours are expected to increase as the FBI UCR Program transitions to a NIBRS-only data collection in January 2021 and additional agencies begin submitting data via NIBRS.
