Proposed Data Elements for Participants
These are potential data fields NHTSA plans to collect from AV TEST Initiative participants. NHTSA feels the below categories of data are relevant to inform the public about the significant activities taking place across our Nation regarding on-road testing of automated vehicles. Listed below are data fields that will be collected from: 1) Companies conducting ADS testing and information related to their operation and 2) States and local governments and the relevant laws and policies specifically related to ADS testing in their respective localities. Potential participants and the public are encouraged to provide input towards shaping these topics as the agency moves forward to providing a mature webpage for public use. The listed data fields marked with an asterisk (*) must be completed as part of participant submissions to the AV TEST tracker.
