Economic Analysis of Shoreline Treatment Options for Coastal New Hampshire

NOAA’s National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) is proposing a change to the 0648-0788 form, “Economic Analysis of Shoreline Treatment Options for Coastal New Hampshire,” to revise language text for clarification purposes. There will be no burden added, and no additional public cost burden associated with this change.
Upon review by the survey vendor, experts in survey methodology and locals to the study area, changes were made to enhance understanding, response rate, and to minimize respondent burden. For example, the introductory text was modified to conform to IRB standards, descriptive text within the form was simplified, and locally-relevant terminology was introduced (e.g., “coastal New Hampshire” changed to “the Seacoast region of New Hampshire”). An updated version of the survey with modifications and justifications in track changes is provided as an attachment.
These revisions will not change the number of participants, associated costs, nor the total burden.
