Abstract: Proposed rule 498B under the Securities Act of 1933 would provide open-end management investment companies with an alternative way to keep shareholders informed, subject to specific conditions, instead of delivering prospectus updates to existing shareholders each year to satisfy section 5(b)(2) of the Securities Act.
