The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS)
requests clearance from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB)
to field a one-time survey of state departments of corrections
(DOCs) and the federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) on the effects of
the coronavirus (refers to both the disease COVID-19 and the virus
causing the disease, severe acute respiratory syndrome, coronavirus
2 (SARS-CoV-2)) in the prison setting.
