Dear Mr. Ray:
In accordance with 5 CFR 1320.13, “Emergency Processing,” the Department of
Defense (DoD) requests emergency processing and approval of a new public information
collection requirement for Defense Pricing and Contracting in the Office of the Under
Secretary of Defense (Acquisition and Sustainment).
The Paperwork Reduction Act Supporting Statement and collection instrument are at
Enclosure 1. The Statement of Determination for emergency processing is at Enclosure 2.
To meet the requirements of Section 3610 of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and
Economic Security (CARES) Act (Pub. L. 116-136) (Enclosure 3), an emergency approval
must be acquired from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Use of the normal
OMB process would preclude the collection of the information in a timely manner. The
Department requests emergency approval by August 14, 2020.
