Abstract: Through the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages Business Supplement (QBS), the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) can quickly capture information on the impact of specific events on the U.S. economy. Information collected by the QBS will allow stakeholders and data users to evaluate the impact of these events in a timely manner, allowing policy makers to be able to make informed decisions.

Short Statement: The change in burden is attributable to the fact that this is a new collection. This is the first collection under the BLS QCEW Business Supplement. Each collection will be unique. The sample and scope for each collection will be determined based on topic and the burden assessment will change each time a new survey is fielded.
