This submission is being made for proposed non-substantive changes to an existing information collection pursuant to 44 U.S.C. § 3507. This submission seeks to update (i) the accompanying instructions to FCC Form 492 and (ii) the accompanying instructions to FCC Form 492A. This is due to minor changes in the contact information for the FCC’s Office of the Secretary and Office of Economics and Analytics. The Office of the Secretary receives paper copies of filings to 9050 Junction Drive, Annapolis Junction, MD 20701. On October 15, 2020, the FCC moved its Headquarters location to 45 L Street, NE, Washington, DC 20554 which necessitates a need to update the mailing address information. This submission is being made for proposed non-substantive changes to an existing information collection pursuant to 44 U.S.C. § 3507. This submission seeks to update (i) the accompanying instructions to FCC Form 492 and (ii) the accompanying instructions to FCC Form 492A. This is due to minor changes in the contact information for the FCC’s Office of the Secretary and Wireline Competition Bureau. On December 11, 2018, the FCC opened the Office of Economics and Analytics, Industry Analysis Division which is now responsible for these data collections. FCC Form 492 is filed by each local exchange carrier (LEC) or group of carriers who file individual access tariffs or who are not subject to Sections 61.41 through 61.49 of the Commission's rules. Each LEC or group of affiliated carriers subject to the previously stated sections file FCC Form 492A. Both forms are filed annually. The reports contain rate-of-return information that are needed to enable the Commission to fulfill its regulatory responsibilities.
