APHIS is proposing to amend
regulations to the Animal Welfare Act by adding requirements for
contingency planning and training of personnel by research
facilities and dealers, exhibitors, intermediate handlers, and
carriers. It estimates there are 8,795 respondents who will provide
an annual estimated 17,590 responses and 30,783 hours of
burden.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
