Subject: U.S. Census Bureau – SAID Program – Data Request (<Entity Name, State Abbreviation>)

Good Morning/Afternoon,

My name is [First Name] [Last Name] and I am a Geographer with the U.S. Census Bureau. The Census Bureau is currently requesting street, address, and imagery data on behalf of the Spatial, Address, and Imagery Data (SAID) Program. While participation in the SAID Program is voluntary, acquiring your data, whether it be street centerline, address points, and/or imagery, is vital to updating and maintaining our Master Address File/Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) System. An accurate and updated MAF/TIGER system ensures the success of the 2030 Census, the American Community Survey, and other surveys that the Census Bureau conducts.

Please respond to this email indicating whether or not you will be able to share your data with the Census Bureau. Once we determine you can share the data, I can provide guidelines on the required metadata and instructions to upload using our Secure Web Incoming Module (SWIM). SWIM provides a secure method for sharing your data with us.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have by responding to this e-mail or by telephone at (xxx) xxx-xxxx.

Sincerely,

<Use email signature of sender>
