C. Discuss and understand the child’s health, family history and social history

D. Identify risk factors present in the death

1. Identify whether a previously undiagnosed heart condition or other medical condition was present that could result in sudden death.

2. Identify whether previous symptoms at rest or during exercise associated with sudden death were known.

3. Identify whether the child had a family history that put him/her at-risk for sudden death.

E. Evaluate whether changes are needed to the agencies and/or systems that were involved with the child and/or responded to the death

1. Identify whether a previously undiagnosed heart condition or other medical condition was present that could result in sudden death.

2. Identify whether previous symptoms at rest or during exercise associated with sudden death were known.

3. Identify whether the child had a family history that put him/her at-risk for sudden death.
