Inaugural Early Career Investigator Day - Registration open

Dear Colleagues,
Early Career Investigator Day (ECID) will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 (9AM-12PM EDT) as a pre-conference session of the
Annual Symposium on Global Cancer Research, which is held in conjunction with the Consortium of Universities in Global Health
annual meeting. The ECID is an opportunity for early career scientists interested in a career in global cancer research to learn about
initiating and sustaining research collaborations in global settings and getting started in cancer research. This interactive session will
begin with an introduction to global research training opportunities at the US National Cancer Institute and National Institutes of
Health (NIH). This will be followed by presentations from and discussions with cancer researchers supported by the NIH where they
will share experiences in initiating and maintaining research collaborations; they will also discuss technical and non-technical skills
and competencies needed for global cancer research careers. Finally, perspectives from current NIH early career development
awardees and mentors will be presented and discussed.
