Abstract: The EANS Annual Performance Report requires States to report the total student enrollment and low-income student enrollment of each non-public school that received services or assistances with EANS funds within the reporting period. During the recent reporting webinar in which ED reviewed the EANS annual reporting requirements with States, some States indicated that they may not be able to provide ED enrollment counts for some non-public schools that received EANS services or assistance. This change will would allow the State to indicate in the annual report whether it is able to report enrollment data for each non-public school, instead of reporting ‘0’ students. ED believes that these changes will help improve data quality so that responses could be clearly understood and provides the ED program office with clear indication of which State(s) were not able meet this reporting requirement.
