Who must comply?	Owners, operators, shipyards, designers, and manufacturers (aka applicants) of certain vessels.
What is this collection about?	This information collection requires an applicant to submit plans, technical information and operating manuals to the Coast Guard (CG).
Where do I find the requirements for this information?	Title 46 CFR 61 and 62 are available at—https://www.eCFR.gov, select TITLE 46 – SHIPPING, and follow to the respective part of the regulation.
When must information be submitted to the Coast Guard?	Information must be submitted to the CG prior to construction or modification of vessel.
How is the information submitted?	In writing or electronically via e-mail. Information may be submitted to the CG Officer in Charge, Marine Inspection (OCMI) at the local Sector Office, or the CG Marine Safety Center (MSC). What happens when complete information is received?	Once all required information has been provided and the CG approves it, you will be notified in writing.
