Failure to print labels in color could result in the destruction of your shipment
DIRECTIONS FOR PACKAGING AND SHIPPING LIVING PLANT PESTS, BIOLOGICAL
CONTROL ORGANISMS, BEES, NOXIOUS WEEDS, OR PARASITIC PLANTS FOR
IMPORTATION UNDER PPQ 526 PERMITS TO THE UNITED STATES.
Unless otherwise instructed in the permit conditions, attach this RED/WHITE label (PPQ
599) securely using clear/transparent tape to the EXTERIOR of each shipping package.
Packages without labels on the EXTERIOR may be refused entry even if the labels are
enclosed.
Place on the EXTERIOR OF THE PACKAGE the name and address of shipper and a
statement of the contents.
THE LABEL WILL DIRECT THE PACKAGE TO THE PPQ PLANT INSPECTION
STATION AUTHORIZED UNDER THE PERMIT. THE DELIVERY ADDRESS MUST
BE THE SAME AS INDICATED ON THE LABEL OR THE PACKAGE WILL BE
REFUSED ENTRY.
EACH HAND CARRY or BORDER CROSSING/SELF TRANSPORT EVENT WILL
HAVE AUTHORIZATION AND GUIDANCE IN AN OFFICIAL NOTIFICATION TO
U.S. CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION WITH THE NAMED PERSON
AUTHORIZED TO HAND-CARRY.
The package may only contain materials authorized under the PPQ 526 permit. It will be
refused entry with possible civil penalties if unauthorized materials are included.
DO NOT WRITE ON, MODIFY, OR DEFACE THESE LABELS. These labels cannot be
reused or duplicated for additional shipments. Each individual label will have a distinctive
barcode. Underlying packaging/wrapping must carry the address, a prepaid delivery waybill,
carrier account number, or postage must be included and any other information required to
direct the shipment to its final destination. USDA APHIS does not defray any additional
shipping costs for transiting the shipment through an inspection station as the initial US
destination.
